October Sketches: Volume I
October Sketches: Volume I
Most work that never gets finished dies in the same place: somewhere between good enough and not yet. You keep adjusting. The thing gets worse, or it gets nothing, and eventually you stop.
October Sketches came out of a seven year composition practice: a prompt, a short window, a piece of music which is then published regardless. It has produced the good, the bad and the weird.
The resulting book of constraints is designed to close that gap. It contains unique prompts, illustrations and is designed to be written in, drawn on and marked up.
It fits in a coat pocket. A clean copy at the end of the year means you didn't use it.
